Sarah Mattingly

Sarah is a key member of Root Change’s Partnership Development team. She also works with local and international partners to design and implement inclusive economic development and youth livelihood initiatives. Passionate about creating systems-level solutions for workforce development, social enterprise, and Positive Youth Development (PYD), Sarah excels in program design and proposal support. Before joining Root Change, she facilitated over $100 million in partnerships between sub-national, national, and international organizations, and donors across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Sarah holds a degree in international development and has professional proficiency in both French and Spanish. Outside of the office, Sarah runs a social enterprise focused on native ecosystem restoration and “second chance” employment opportunities. In her free time you’ll find Sarah hiking, kayaking, camping, planning a trip, or volunteering in her adopted hometown of Durham, NC.
