Mercedes Viola

Mercedes is the founder and director of 4D Lab, a certified B corp that promotes cultures of communication, cultures of inclusion and cultures of regeneration, co-designing a new way of living together. She is also the founder and coordinator of Incluir Para Crecer – Festival of Inclusive Economy – Collaborating with the art of inclusion and co-founder of ProEdu Inclusive Education and D Alliance that work for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the educational and labor areas respectively.

Mercedes is a member of the Board of Directors of Sistema B Uruguay, Co-Coordinator of the Working Group on Inclusive Education, a member of the Alliance of Organizations for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, an active member of the Regional Network for Inclusive Education and Inclusion International, and a member of the digital committee of IATEFL (2012-2020) and of the online committee of IATEFL BESIG (2010-2020). She serves as a university lecturer in Inclusive Education, Universal Design for Learning and triple impact and holds an MA degree in TESOL and in architecture. She has had the honor of being a national and international speaker in the areas of inclusive education and diversity & inclusion and presented at the TEDx Montevideo event on Education – Education includes us all.
