ChildLinks Uganda, an initiative aimed at strengthening child protection services across the country, is a comprehensive system designed to improve communication and coordination among key stakeholders in child welfare, including community support workers, referral agencies, and local government entities. Root Change played a pivotal role in the project, partnering with ChildFund to design and implement the ChildLinks system. Their contributions included providing technical support and facilitating stakeholder engagement to ensure the system’s successful rollout.
The pilot report underscored the importance of continuous learning and adaptation throughout the deployment of ChildLinks. It emphasized the necessity of ongoing training and support for community workers to maintain the system’s effectiveness. Key recommendations included refining the system based on user feedback and ensuring the sustained involvement of local government to preserve the initiative’s long-term impact.
